Thrown, Darted, & Handbuilt : Mugs with Taylor Sijan RECORDING

We are very excited to offer the recording of our workshop with Taylor Sijan as she demonstrates how she constructs her beautiful porcelain mugs! 

During this two and half hour workshop, Sijan shows students how she employs throwing, altering, and handbuilding techniques to create her footed mug forms. She also demonstrates several different types of handle making with pinching and pulling methods. Sijan finally walks us through the basics of her decorative process for handled drinking vessels and dynamic surface treatments!

This workshop features the following:

• A brief presentation by Sijan of her work
• A variety of techniques employed for creating and forming vessels
• Different methods to handle-making and attaching
• Basics of Sajin’s unique design and surface processes for mugs
