Sgraffito Carving Halloween Plates!

Service Description

Bring your spooky creations to life and design your very own illustrative Halloween Plate in this one time special class! This class is suitable for all levels and is family-friendly. Students will learn how to utilize a carving technique called sgraffito to create bold patterns, images, and 2-toned designs. Each student will be provided with a 7-9 inch professionally wheel-thrown porcelain plate, made by hand, and Halloween pattern/design ideas. With instructor guidance, students will learn the sgraffito technique and design methods to create stunning spooky food, dishwasher, and microwave safe plates suited for daily use! Instructors will glaze and fire each piece with one color of student choice. Additional colors are available at an for $6.00 per color. Pieces will be available for pick-up 3-5 weeks following the session. Note: While we can’t guarantee the quality and success of the pieces you make in this class, instructors will do their best to guide you through the process. No matter what you make, it’s sure to be a memorable experience! Requirements: For beginners. No experience required. Age 7+ (Students under 7 are able to attend, but must be accompanied by a parent to assist them during the class.)

Cancellation Policy

Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons which are canceled 7 calendar days or more prior to the class or event will receive a full refund. Any cancellations received 7-3 days prior will receive a 50% refund. Any and all cancellations 2 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund. Cancellations which are at least 24 hours prior to the class may transfer their booking to another applicable date or find a substitute student to take their place. If you need to cancel after the 7 day window, please contact the store. Wooten Clayworks cannot reschedule with less than 24 hours notice due to the inability to fill the space that was taken from another potential student. Please note there is a 2 student minimum for classes to run. Students will be notified the day prior if the class has to be cancelled and will receive a full refund.
