Composition & Texture: Colorful Shapes & Layers with Dehmie Dehmlow!

Come learn to compose colorful and textured surfaces with Dehmie Dehmlow! 

Using a variety of slab building and refining techniques, Dehmie creates dynamic and abstract pottery. She uses different layering approaches to create rich layers of color and texture on her pots, crafting visually and physically exciting pieces.

During this virtual workshop, participants will learn how to compose layered surfaces on their pottery using colored terra sigilatas, washes, underglaze, and Stroke and Coat glaze by Mayco. Dehmie will demonstrate how she uses resists, like tape and wax, to create clean and funky shapes on her surfaces. If you are interested in creating colorful and layered surfaces at low fire to midrange, come join us!
