Intro/Intermediate Wheel Throwing
Learn and expand upon the general techniques of wheel throwing, trimming, slip application, and glazing during this studio course! Students will be guided through the basics of wheel throwing to begin exploring their artistic visions with instructor guidance. They will explore the basic forms of the pottery wheel, such as cylinders, cups, mugs, and bowls. Simple surface decoration techniques will be covered as well.

Intro to Handbuilding Pottery
During this course, students will be shown how to create different handbuilt dishes utilizing slabs, molds, coil building, pinching, and more! This course will emphasize organic forms and explore different ways to design and shape pieces that can then be decorated with stamping, carving, and other texturing techniques.
This class is beginner-friendly and does not require any previous experience with clay!
Introduction to Colored Porcelain
Join us to learn testing, mixing, as well as various usage techniques of colored porcelain. Students will be guided through the process of creating their own colored porcelain slips, and will collectively review results as a group to make a broad color pallet for makers to try out. This course will cover a variety of decorative and layering techniques incorporating uses for colored porcelain, such as agateware and marbled clay, inlaid slips or mishima, and creating simple nerikomi blocks to create colorful patterned slabs.
6 Week Session:
An Introduction to Drawing
Looking to expand your artistic skills, better improve your sketching practice, or just try something new? During this course, students will be shown how to use the sight-size method to visually measure what they see in life and translate it to 2D paper. They will learn about light sources, value and tone, depth and form, as well as perspective and dimension. All of these skills are useful for artists of any mediums, whether to better help you understand how to bring your 2D designs to life in the 3D, understanding forms in space, working to make surfaces more dynamic, or simply to learn how to draw!
6 Week Session:
Creating Flowers From Clay
Join us to build your own flowers that’ll last a lifetime and help chase away the winter blues! During this 4 week course, students will be shown how to create different types of flowers with clay and can expect to make 2-3 sculptural pieces displaying these various forms. Additions such as textures, leaves, moss, and other small sculptural elements will also be discussed.
This class is beginner-friendly and does not require any previous experience with clay!
4 Week Session:
Wheel II: Moving Beyond the Basics
Have you been struggling to move beyond the basics of the wheel and want to improve your throwing skills? These sessions are designed to further student's abilities on the potter's wheel, addressing foundational and intermediate skills needed to further grow in this quick intensive 3 week course! This course is designed for those who have taken intro to wheel throwing classes 1-3 times and are looking to take the next step. Intermediate students can also benefit from this course, furthering their skills as Dallas will work independently with each student, addressing ways to assist them.
3 Week Session:
Sculpt Your Pet (or Favorite Animal)!
Interested in getting into ceramic sculpture? Have a pet or favorite animal you'd like to immortalize in clay? Join us in this beginner-friendly 4-week course! This skill-building course is designed to introduce students to a variety of sculpture techniques focused around making a mini version of your pet!
This class is beginner-friendly and does not require any previous experience with clay!

Intro to Functional Sculpture
During this course, students will be shown how to create different handbuilt forms utilizing slabs, coils, pinching, shaping, and more to create sculptural pieces that can be used for functional purposes! This course will explore different ways to design and shape pieces that can then be decorated with stamping, carving, and other texturing techniques.
