Intro/Intermediate Wheel Throwing
Learn and expand upon the general techniques of wheel throwing, trimming, slip application, and glazing during this 6-week course! Students will be guided through the basics of wheel throwing to begin exploring their artistic visions with instructor guidance. They will explore the basic forms of the pottery wheel, such as cylinders, cups, mugs, and bowls. Simple surface decoration techniques will be covered as well.

Wheel-Thrown Lidded Vessels
Looking to take your wheel-throwing practice to the next level? Join us for this special intermediate-level course! During this 8 week course, students will be shown what we call bowl lids, drop lids, hat lids, and cap lids. In addition, 1 piece lidded jars will also be covered.  Students will create jars of their choice utilizing each lid if they choose to do so.

Bisque Molds: Trays, Plates, Cups & More!
In this course, students will be guided through the basics of creating bisque molds out of clay and how to utilize them. Bisque molds are a phenomenal method to create unique shapes beyond circular forms. Plates, trays, serving dishes, cup bases, and more will be discussed in class. Students can expect to design and create their very own durable bisque molds and how to use them, which they will be able to keep beyond this class.

Intermediate Wheel: Pots for Flowers
During this course, students will learn how to throw and trim flower pots, trays, and vases to make vessels for plants, crafting pots for growing different types of plants and/or for floral display. Whether you enjoy succulents, cacti, orchids, propagating cuttings, or arranging bouquets, there is something for every budding or seasoned plant enthusiast in this course. Special demonstrations will include: making hanging planters, piercing orchid pots, and throwing more than 5 lbs of clay at a time.

Bird Baths & Pedestal Dishes
Learn how to make a birdbath/pedestal dishes in this special topic course! Students will learn how to handbuild or throw pedestal bases, how to combine components to create height, as well as add details to the surface to make a fun and useful object for the garden!
