Intro/Intermediate Wheel Throwing
Learn and expand upon the general techniques of wheel throwing, trimming, slip application, and glazing during this studio course! Students will be guided through the basics of wheel throwing to begin exploring their artistic visions with instructor guidance. They will explore the basic forms of the pottery wheel, such as cylinders, cups, mugs, and bowls. Simple surface decoration techniques will be covered as well.

Making Pots for Atmospheric Kilns
Join us for this special 5 week course preparing work for atmospheric kilns, just in time for our upcoming salt firing workshop with Terry Plasket at the end of August! In this course, Dallas will discuss what salt firing is, differences in designing pots in atmospheric kilns, the nuances of working with cone 10 clay, and a variety of decorative and texture techniques for atmospheric firing as well as an overview of glazing and flashing slips.

Moving Beyond the Basics: Wheel Throwing
Have you been struggling to move beyond the basics of the wheel and want to improve your throwing skills? Join us to further your throwing abilities as we address foundational and intermediate skills needed to further grow in this quick intensive 2 week course! This session is designed for those who have taken intro to wheel throwing classes 1-3 times and are looking to take the next step. Intermediate students can also benefit from this course.
