About the Event
We are very excited to be hosting this workshop with Taylor Sijan as she demonstrates how she constructs her beautiful porcelain mugs!
During this two and half hour workshop, Sijan will show students how she employs throwing, altering, and handbuilding techniques to create her footed mug forms. She will also demonstrate several different types of handle making with pinching and pulling methods. Sijan then will walk us through her decorative process for handled drinking vessels and dynamic surface treatments!
This workshop will feature the following:
- A brief presentation by Sijan of her work
- A variety of techniques employed for creating and forming vessels
- Different methods to handle-making and attaching
- Sajin’s unique decorative processes for mugs
This workshop contains a variety of information for artists of all levels and questions are encouraged! So grab your favorite mug filled with your favorite drink and join us with Taylor Sijan as she walks us through her approach on making our favorite daily drivers…the mug!
The workshop will be recorded for students to access following the event. So if you can’t make the day of or will be late, you will still get access to all the information of the workshop for 3 weeks! The recording will be available for viewing following editing.
