Service Description
The total cost of this course is $320. Students pay an online deposit of $100 to register and pay the remainder of the class fee the first day of class. Payment plans are available upon arrangement. Looking to expand your wheel throwing skills? In this course, Dallas will guide students through a variety of techniques to create and utilize bisque molds with and on the pottery wheel. These skills offer potters a variety of new form options, as well as efficient methods of making without needing to trim every piece on the wheel. Students do not need to have taken previous molds classes to be able to take this course. This course will cover the creation of several slump, hump, and ring mold forms and is suitable for individuals comfortable with making fairly centered cylinder forms and basic trimming skills. To Bring: -Notebook/Sketchbook and writing utensil -Old clothes or attire you don’t mind getting a little dirty -It is recommended that students purchase their own rasps for this class, as they will be utilized quite a bit. Tool kits will be available for purchase on the first day of class for $15 if needed. Basic throwing tools and your favorites will be needed for this course. Additional Costs: Glazing and Firing Fee - $35 25 lbs of clay is included in the materials fee. Additional clay can be purchased from Wooten Clayworks if desired. Ages 12+. For ages 11 and under, please send us an inquiry to see if class admittance is allowable (based on total enrollment to ensure assistance can be provided.) Cancellation Policy
Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons which are canceled 7 calendar days or more prior to the class or event will receive a full refund. Any cancellations received 7-3 days prior will receive a 50% refund. Any and all cancellations 2 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund. Cancellations which are at least 24 hours prior to the class may transfer their booking to another applicable date or find a substitute student to take their place. If you need to cancel after the 7 day window, please contact the store. Wooten Clayworks cannot reschedule with less than 24 hours notice due to the inability to fill the space that was taken from another potential student. Please note there is a 2 student minimum for classes to run. Students will be notified the day prior if the class has to be cancelled and will receive a full refund.
