7 Week Course

Service Description
Step into the world of 2D art-making! This course is for students who understand basic drawing techniques and want to learn how to broaden the possibilities of a single piece. We will be learning how to unite different types of media in one project by learning how to: transition between materials to create cohesion and unity, use dry and water-based media together, and use oil paint safely on paper with other media. The first 4 classes will be single-piece exercises with a shared image reference to build basic understanding of concepts. During the last three weeks, students will choose their own reference and receive individual instructor aid to create a project that they are truly interested in! The cost of this course is $350. Students pay an online deposit of $100 to register and have options for paying the remainder in-person. This course will include the necessary solvents and mediums and some tools for the process.
