Service Description
In this 8-week course, students will learn how to throw and trim flower pots, trays, and vases to make vessels for plants. The instructor will guide students through crafting pots for growing different types of specific plants and/or for floral display. Whether you enjoy succulents, cacti, orchids, propagating cuttings, or arranging bouquets, there is something for every budding or seasoned plant enthusiast in this course. Special demonstrations will include: making hanging planters, piercing orchid pots, and throwing more than 5 lbs of clay at a time. Experience in a prior throwing class is recommended. Students should arrive to class knowing how to center clay and pull cylinder and/or bowl shapes, as the instructor will not spend time focusing on the basics of throwing.
