Service Description
Join us for a fun time making hand-built planters and trays for Spring! With instructor guidance, students will decorate, texture, and assemble small-medium sized planters and trays out of slabs of clay. This is a fun and exciting way to explore pattern and texture in clay. Unlike the wheel, hand-built forms have a higher success rate with no experience, producing one of a kind beautiful unique pieces. This is sure to be a memorable and one of a kind experience! Bring mom for a clay date or grab a friend and join us in the studio! Trial classes are BYOB and sure to be a great time. Tool kits and pre-rolled slabs of clay will be provided during this session. Students will be able to make 1-2 pieces each, depending on skill level and the intricacy of the work. Pieces will be food, dishwasher, and microwave safe upon completion. To make your pieces truly special, you’ll select a finishing color from our range of studio glazes. Additional glaze layers are available for $6.00 a piece. Our instructor will complete the glazing process for you. Pieces will be available for pick up within 4-6 weeks following the session. You will be notified as soon as your creations are done! Note: While we can’t guarantee the quality and success of the pieces you make in this class, instructors will do their best to guide you through the process. No matter what you make, it’s sure to be a memorable experience! Requirements: For beginners. No experience required. Cancellation Policy
Bookings for classes, workshops, events, and private lessons which are canceled 7 calendar days or more prior to the class or event will receive a full refund. Any cancellations received 7-3 days prior will receive a 50% refund. Any and all cancellations 2 days or less before the class/course are not eligible for a refund. Cancellations which are at least 24 hours prior to the class may transfer their booking to another applicable date or find a substitute student to take their place. If you need to cancel after the 7 day window, please contact the store. Wooten Clayworks cannot reschedule with less than 24 hours notice due to the inability to fill the space that was taken from another potential student. Please note there is a 2 student minimum for classes to run. Students will be notified the day prior if the class has to be cancelled and will receive a full refund.
